New River Health has been making patient care our top priority for more than 30 years. We are a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare. The Breathing Center was founded in 1982 as a black lung clinic out of the 1977 amendment to the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act. Since then we have been working to make sure miners have the resources and healthcare they need.
